Installing GPS Gate

You can get GpsGate from here.
You must rename the file from GPSgatePPC.zip to GPSgatePPC.exe before you can use it.

From your computer desktop, open and execute GPSGatePPC.exe.

When Add/Remove Programs is done, it will tell you to check your PocketPC screen.
Choose \Storage Card as your install location and click Install

Wait until GpsGate installation is finished

You will be asked to restart your device. Click OK to restart your PocketPC.

Setup GPS Gate

After you have rebooted, open GpsGate from your Programs list.
Click Manual.

In the Input tab, under Input section, open the drop-down menu.

Under the drop-down menu, choose Bluetooth GPS, then click Open.

Now click on Find new GPS. Once it has done searching, click on Mainnav-GPS.

Select SPP and click OK

Now your screen should look something like this.
If it says that GPS data is coming in, that means the receiver is receiving satellite signals.
You may need to be near the window to receive stronger signals.

Now click on the Output tab. You should see this.

Now click on the drop-down menu, select Virtual COM Port / Garmin Emulator, and click Add.

You will have available a number of different COMs. Choose the highest one available for this step.

For this example, I will choose COM8. Then Click OK.

A random Unit ID will be displayed. Just click OK.

You should arrive at a screen like this.
Look at the Active output section and tap on Virtual COM8 / Garmin Emulator.
Make sure at the bottom of the screen it says Running OK! If it displays Running OK!, go to the next step.
If it does not, you will need to choose another COM. Click the Add button again.

At the bottom of the screen, next to the Bluetooth/WiFi icon, you will notice a GpsGate icon.

If the color is Red, it means bluetooth is not connected. Please check if the device is on.
If the color is Yellow, it means that not enough satellites signals are received. Please move closer to a window or go outside.
If the color is Green, it means that you have a satellite fix and are good to go!

Click on All Points of Interest

Now you can type in the place you want to find.
Lets assume you want to find Sunway.

Now all you need to do is choose the destination, and click on Route to It.
Garmin Que will find either the Shortest Distance or the Fastest Route depending on your preference.
